Was Milo Yiannopoulos Forced to Resign From Breitbart?

Earlier today, Milo Yiannopoulos resigned from Breitbart. In his statements, he claimed “The decision was mine and mine alone”. However, there were reportedly discussions yesterday about his future there.

From the Washington Post:

By late Monday afternoon, there were ongoing discussions at Breitbart about Yiannopoulos’s future at the company, according to two people familiar with the organization who were not authorized to speak. Inside the newsroom, several staffers made clear to senior leadership that they felt uncomfortable and may decide to leave if he stays, the people said. There was also an aggressive liberal campaign to get advertisers to quit Breitbart News.

It wouldn’t come as a surprise if he was forced to resign. Either way, this is going to be a huge hit for both Milo and Breitbart. It seems as though they used to him to help push their agenda (getting Trump elected) and cast him out when he he was no longer useful. Breitbart gained a massive following due to Milo’s ability to appeal to a new audience. I think they will lose a good number of those people. Milo’s fans seem to be sticking by him. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for both Milo and Breitbart.

BREAKING: Milo Yiannopoulos Resigns From Breitbart, Speaks of Future Plans for “Dangerous” and New “Troll Academy Tour” in Press Conference

From Dennis Michael Lynch

BREAKING — Milo Yiannopoulos has resigned from Breitbart News after a video resurfaced where he appeared to defend pedophilia, sparking outcry among liberals and conservatives alike. Milo has denied defending pedophilia. He says his words are being taken out of context.

“Breitbart News has stood by me when others caved,” Yiannopoulos, a Breitbart senior editor, said in a statement.

“I would be wrong to allow my poor choice of words to detract from my colleagues’ important reporting, so today I am resigning from Breitbart, effective immediately. This decision is mine alone,” Milo said.

“They have allowed me to carry conservative and libertarian ideas to communities that would otherwise never have heard them. They have been a significant factor in my success. I’m grateful for that freedom and for the friendships I forged there.”

He held a press conference at 3 PM EST. You can watch it here:

Or read it here:

Milo Seemed to hold back tears as he spoke, “I’m a gay man and a child abuse victim. Between the ages of 13 and 16 two men touched me in ways they should have. One of them was a priest. My relationship with my abusers is complicated in at the time I did not realize that I was being abused. But I can look back now and see that it was. I still don’t see myself as a victim but clearly I am one.”

“To be a victim of child abuse and at the same time be accused of being an apologist for child abuse is absurd.”, he stated. “I regret the things I said. I don’t think I’ve ever been as sorry about anything in my whole life.”

He also mentioned that his parents didn’t know. “And this isn’t how I wanted my parents to find out about this either.”

He didn’t mince words for the people who chose to wait until now to come forward with this. “This is a cynical media witch-hunt from people who do not care about children. They care about destroying me & my career and by extension my allies. They know that even though I made some outrageous statements I’ve never actually done anything wrong. They held this story back. They held the footage back. The footage has been out there in the wild for over a year. Because they do not care about victims. They don’t care about children. They only care about bringing me down. They will fail.”, he said.

He mentioned that his book “Dangerous” has received interest from other publishers after his previous publisher Simon & Schuster decided not to release it.  He said it will still come out this year as planned, and that 10% of the profits will go to child abuse charities.

He also stated that he will be announcing a new media venture of his own, as well as a new live tour and campus dates called the “Troll Academy Tour”.

This isn’t the first time that a young  conservative influencer has been the victim of a media hit job. PewDiePie was targeted by the media the same way, for essentially the same reasons.

Milo Yiannopoulos Book Deal Canceled, Disinvited from CPAC, Amidst Accusations of Statements Justifying Pedophilia in Newly Surfaced Video (My Thoughts)

It’s been a tough week so far for Milo Yiannopoulos. Yesterday, some old videos of Milo surfaced that has seems to show him justifying pedophilia. His comments are indeed disturbing. He seems to justify his being molested by a 20-30 year old priests a 14 year old and sort of laughs it off like it’s no big deal.

Conservative blogger Matt Walsh had quite a bit to say about it:

Milo has made several statements admitting that what happened to him was, in fact, abuse (which he seemed to avoid in the video) and that he doesn’t justify it at all. He has exposed many pedophiles in his career and finds it disgusting. He also admits that what he said was in poor taste.

Milo also aired a video apology as well to his followers via Facebook live which has since been deleted.
Even Matt Walsh seems convinced of his sincerity in the video:

As a result of these new “revelations”, he was disinvited from speaking at CPAC. And now Simon & Schuster has canceled his book.

Here are my thoughts: Milo was clearly sexually abused as a child. I think Joe Rogan  was asking him some very uncomfortable questions that he was not prepared for. It doesn’t seem characteristic of Milo to admit he is a victim and I’m sure he did not want to see himself as such. It seems as though now that he has had time to reflect on it, he does see himself that way. I hope that if he is truly disgusted by pedophilia, that he will expose the man that harmed him so that he cannot hurt anyone else.

Milo says that he had no idea he would become so famous when he said those things. I think many people, including myself, have said things that could be taken too seriously or taken out of context and used to make us look like terrible people if we were to become famous controversial figures.

It’s not really any shocker that Milo is somewhat sexually degenerate so should it really be that surprising that he would speak of his abuse in such a crass manner?  I have heard some say that he should not be using his platform to normalize this but the fact that he was not nearly as possible shows me that was not his intention. He seemed caught off guard by the questions and I’m sure it’s not easy thing to talk about, so he laughed it off.

I hope that he will use his abuse to bring to light an issue that feminists tend to sweep under the rug: there are many boys who are victims of sexual abuse and never tell anyone. Perhaps we spend so much time worrying about our daughters that we forget about our sons sometimes. It’s important that we talk to our sons about what is appropriate and what is abuse as well.  It does make me wonder though, if this abuse was the cause of his homosexuality, and how often that may the case with the increasing number of gay men in society.

Unfortunately, it looks like this is going to affect Milo quite negatively.

Norma McCorvey aka “Roe” in “Roe v. Wade” dies at 69

From LA Times:

Norma McCorvey, the once-anonymous plaintiff in the “Roe vs. Wade” case that led to the Supreme Court’s decision legalizing abortion, has died. She was 69.

McCorvey, who later joined the anti-abortion movement, died at an assisted living center in Katy, Texas, said journalist Joshua Prager, who is working on a book about McCorvey and was with her and her family when she died. He said she died of heart failure, according to the Associated Press.

McCorvey’s child was given up for adoption and her identity remains anonymous. McCorvey was vehemently pro-abortion and volunteering at an abortion clinic when Operation Rescue moved next door in 1995. She was persuaded by them to become pro-life.

In 1998, She testified before the US Senate that she regretted her part in making abortion illegal. “I am dedicated to spending the rest of my life undoing the law that bears my name,” she said, “I would like nothing more than to have this law overturned.”

Prior to her conversion, she was starting to realize just how the pro-abortion movement views women. In a 1995 television interview she remarked that they never gave her “the respect she thought she deserved”.

“A lot of Norma’s evolution from pro-abortion to anti-abortion had to do with her feelings of being treated like poor, working-class, white trash,” according to David Garrow, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “Liberty and Sexuality, The Right to Privacy and the Making of Roe v. Wade.”

Isn’t that exactly how the pro-abortion movement views the women they market to? Incapable, helpless, and worthless? And they call this empowering…Just like Norma had realized, they don’t actually respect or care about the women they claim to stand for. They are just pawns in their political game.

Here’s to hoping that Norma will get her wish and we will see “Roe v. Wade” overturned soon.

Hypocrisy at it’s Finest: Sweden’s Self-Described “First Feminist Government” Trolls Trump; Dons Hijabs for Iran Leaders Despite Pleas from Human Rights Activists

From UN Watch:

GENEVA, Feb. 13, 2017 — In a statement that has gone viral on Twitter and Facebook, UN Watch, a non-governmental human rights NGO in Geneva, expressed disappointment that Sweden’s self-declared “first feminist government in the world” sacrificed its principles and betrayed the rights of Iranian women as Trade Minister Ann Linde and other female members walked before Iranian President Rouhani on Saturday wearing Hijabs, Chadors, and long coats, in deference to Iran’s oppressive and unjust modesty laws which make the Hijab compulsory — despite Stockholm’s promise to promote “a gender equality perspective” internationally, and to adopt a “feminist foreign policy” in which “equality between women and men is a fundamental aim.”

In doing so, Sweden’s female leaders ignored the recent appeal by Iranian women’s right activist Masih Alinejad who urged Europeans female politicians “to stand for their own dignity” and to refuse to kowtow to the compulsory Hijab while visiting Iran.

Alinrejad created a Facebook page for Iranian women to resist the law and show their hair as an act of resistance, which now numbers 1 million followers.

“European female politicians are hypocrites,” says Alinejad. “They stand with French Muslim women and condemn the burkini ban—because they think compulsion is bad—but when it happens to Iran, they just care about money.”

The scene in Tehran on Saturday was also a sharp contrast to Deputy Prime Minister Isabella Lövin’s feminist stance against U.S. President Donald Trump, in a viral tweet and then in a Guardian op-ed last week, in which she wrote that “the world need strong leadership for women’s rights.”

Trade Minister Linde, who signed multiple agreements with Iranian ministers while wearing a veil, “sees no conflict” between her government’s human rights policy and signing trade deals with an oppressive dictatorship that tortures prisoners, persecutes gays, and is a leading executioner of minors.

“If Sweden really cares about human rights, they should not be empowering a regime that brutalizes its own citizens while carrying out genocide in Syria; and if they care about women’s rights, then the female ministers never should have gone to misogynistic Iran in the first place,” said UN Watch executive director Hillel Neuer.

The government has now come under sharp criticism from centrist and left-wing Swedish lawmakers, who said the ministers should not have deferred to “gender apartheid.”

Writing in the Guardian, Deputy prime minister Lövin contrasted Swedish policy with that of President Donald Trump, saying that the world “needs strong leadership for women’s rights” and “Sweden will have an increasingly important role to play in this.” She added that “many countries could learn an important lesson from this.”

Lövin was said to be trolling Trump in the following, now viral tweet, where she signs a  bill into law surrounded by women:

People are Canceling their Netflix Accounts in Droves Because of “Dear White People”

Netflix released the trailer for a show called “Dear White People”, and people are outraged.  In fact, Netflix is losing subscribers and calls are being made to boycott them.

According to Netflix the show is “Based on the acclaimed indie film, this series satirizes ‘post-racial’ America as students of color navigate a predominantly white Ivy League college.”

But some people think the 2014 film promotes the violent racist behavior toward whites, the destruction of property, the notion that all whites are racist, and a ton of other things.
Netflix cannot keep up but is still deleting comments to stop people from seeing and boycotting them. These were the “top comments” on their latest Facebook post earlier:

This may cost the company millions. Apparently the majority of Americans reject racism against any race.

Black Liberal DC Waitress Shocked by What Trump Supporters Leave for Her

Source: BET

When three men decked out in cowboy gear walked into Busboys and Poets in DC on Inaguration Day, they may have expected the cold shoulder. They may have even expected to get hassled by angry liberals.

“It was an interesting situation because it is a Liberal, Democratic kind of feel to the entire Busboys establishment, the people that come in, the people it attracts,” their waitress recalls.

However, Rosalynd Harris treated them courteously just as she would any customer. She learned that they were Trump supporters who had come from West Texas for the inaguration. Although Rosalynd is a liberal herself, she didn’t let her views get in the way of providing these men with wonderful service, which they appreciated.

When they left, she was shocked to find a $450 tip on the receipt as well as a note saying:

“We may come from different cultures, and we may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people, not race, not gender, just American. God bless.”

The restaurant shared the receipt on twitter:

Betsy DeVos Will Save Our Children

At the very core of the culture war is the battle for the minds of our children.

It seems obvious liberals are having less children. They are more likely to use birth control and have an abortion. Republicans are more likely to be religious and have larger families. Eventually liberals will kill off their own ideology. James Taranto had wrote a column in The Wall Street Journal in 2005 called The Roe Effect which explains this .

So how does the left still seem to be winning over our youth? The answer is becoming increasingly obvious to conservatives: Public education. Teachers are far more likely to be liberal than conservative. The cultural conditioning in high school is more subtle than college. Public universities are becoming increasingly hostile to conservative viewpoints.

Liberals are winning the culture war because of public education. Which is why Betsy DeVos will save us. If you pay any attention to politics, you have probably noticed that liberals are very opposed to her nomination as Trump’s Secrety of Education. And at first glance, she seems terrible for the role. She has been vocally opposed to the public school system. How could she possibly run it?

betsy_devos-tifDeVos is known as a “a fierce proponent of school vouchers” that would allow students to attend private schools with public funding. What does this mean? It means that students and their parents would be given a “voucher” for government funding to attend a private school of their choice. The parents could choose anything from Christian school to Gaia’s Democratic school .

Giving parents this choice puts us in better control of who is influencing them.  It also makes schools have to compete with each other, which means the quality of education will go up. It also is can be advantageous to poor children in urban areas, where they may be limited to a very poor public school system.

Once we as parents gain back control of our children’s education, we will have a lot more say as to what they are being taught while they are young and impressionable. And the liberals will no longer be able to avoid the Roe Effect. They are aware of this, which is why they oppose things like school vouchers and home-schooling at every turn. And that is why Betsy DeVos is Pubic Enemy #1 right now.

Trump’s SCOTUS Pick Announced

Trump has selected federal appeals courts judge Neil Gorsuch for his SCOTUS nomination.

He made the announcement from the East Wing of the White House Earlier, citing his campaign promise to honor the Late Justice Scalia.

From Townhall:

“When Justice [Antonin] Scalia passed away suddenly last February, I made a promise to the American people if I were elected President, I would find the very best judge in the country for the Supreme Court. I promised to select someone who respects our laws and is representative of our Constitution and who loves our Constitution. And someone who will interpret it as written,” Trump announced with Scalia’s widow, Maureen, sitting in the audience. “I am a man of my word, I will do as I say. Something that the American people have been asking of Washington for a very very long time.”

“Today I am keeping another promise to the American people by nominating Judge Neil Gorsuch to the United States Supreme Court,” Trump said, revealing that Scalia’s image was in his mind during the decision-making process. “I took the task of this nomination very seriously. I selected an individual whose qualities define really, and I mean closely define, what we are looking for.”

He doesn’t seem to have much history with abortion cases but seems to be pro-life. In his 2009 book The Future of Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia, Gorsuch wrote that he opposed euthanasia and assisted suicide and that “all human beings are intrinsically valuable and the intentional taking of human life by private persons is always wrong.”

From NPR:

Only weeks after his nomination in 2006, the Senate confirmed him by voice vote. The American Bar Association rated him as “unanimously well qualified” at the time.

Gorsuch has a sterling legal pedigree. He clerked for two Supreme Court justices, Byron White and Anthony Kennedy. He also served as a clerk on the second most important appeals court in the country, in Washington D.C., for conservative Judge David Sentelle.

Like Justice Antonin Scalia, whom he is in line to replace, Gorsuch has cultivated a reputation as a memorable and clear author of legal opinions. He also considers himself to be an originalist. Lawyers who practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, where Gorsuch currently works, said he is a popular and approachable judge.

SCOTUSblog, the leading Supreme Court blog, described some of Gorsuch’s parallels to Scalia as “eerie.”

“He is an ardent textualist (like Scalia); he believes criminal laws should be clear and interpreted in favor of defendants even if that hurts government prosecutions (like Scalia); he is skeptical of efforts to purge religious expression from public spaces (like Scalia); he is highly dubious of legislative history (like Scalia); and he is less than enamored of the dormant commerce clause (like Scalia),” the blog wrote.
Among other rulings that came to national attention, Gorsuch sided in favor of “religious freedom” claims made by the Little Sisters of the Poor and the owners of the craft company Hobby Lobby, who challenged language in the Affordable Care Act that required them to pay for contraceptive coverage for employees. The Supreme Court backed those Hobby Lobby challengers, in a divided vote, in 2014.

Liberals are not happy:
